INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 pound(s) , ground beef
- 1 cup(s) , onion chopped
- 1/2 cup(s) , green pepper chopped
- 15 ounces , tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoon(s) , salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) , dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) , pepper
- 8 ounces , macaroni
- 1 cup(s) , cottage cheese
- 1 cup(s) , cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup(s) , parmesan cheese grated

Combine beef, Onion and green pepper in large skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until the meat is browned. Drain off excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, oregano and pepper. Cover skillet, turn down heat and let mixture simmer 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. In the mean time, cook macaroni according to package directions. When it is tender, drain and combine with meat mixture. Stir in cottage cheese and chredded cheese. Blend well and turn whole mixture into a 2 1/2 quart casserole. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, then sprinkle parmesan cheese over top and return dish to oven for an additional 5 minutes |
