Chocolate Dessert Bars

 Thes can be made and taken to the game or any event, or just have them for dessert. Use any nuts you desire.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 packet(s) , German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 3/4 cup(s) , Butter
  • 1 cup(s) , Nuts Chopped
  • 14 ounces , Light Caramels
  • 1 cup(s) , Chocolate Chips
  • 5 ounces , Evaporated Milk

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350. Combine caramels and 1/3 of the evaporated milk. Melt very slowly in a double boiler and set aside. In a separate pan melt the margarine slowly and combine in the cake mix. Add the nuts and remaining evaporated milk. Stir the mixture by hand until the dough holds together like fudge.
Spread half the dough into a 9/13 greased baking dish. Bake at 350 for six minutes. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the six minute crust. Drizzle the caramels over the chips. Dot the rest of the cake mix over the top. Return to the oven for 20 minutes more. Cool and cut into bars.
