We have tested many pecan pie recipes but this one, which has been fixed several hundred times, is by far our favorite. It has won numerous awards and accolades and we hope you enjoy it also. |

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/4 cup(s) , sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) , light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup(s) , butter
- 3 whole , eggs slightly beaten
- 1 cup(s) , pecans coarsely chopped
- 1 teaspoon(s) , vanilla
- 1 whole , pastry for 9 inch pie

| Instructions: |
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Combine sugar, syrup and butter in 2 quart saucepan; bring to boil on high, stirring until butter is melted.
Remove from stove and gradually add hot syrup to eggs stirring constantly.
Add pecans to mixture and cool to lukewarm.
Add vanilla.
Pour into pie shell and bake for 40 to 45 minutes |
