Carrot Cake

 Traditional recipe for delicious carrot cake. Omit thwe nuts if desired

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 cup(s) , Sugar
  • 2 cup(s) , Flour
  • 2 teaspoon(s) , Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon(s) , Salt
  • 1 tablespoon(s) , Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) , Vegetable Oil
  • 4 large , Eggs
  • 3 cup(s) , Carrot Grated
  • 1 cup(s) , Nuts Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon(s) , Vanilla Extract
  • 0 as needed , Cream Cheese Icing

Instructions:
Sift together the sugar, flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir in the oil. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add carrots, nuts, and vanilla, mixing thoroughly. Pour into a floured and greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch cake pan. Bake in a 350ºF. oven for 30 minutes. Cool in pan. Spread with Cream Cheese Icing.
