Almond Meringue Tartlets

 Almond Meringue Tartlets is wonderful and delicious dessert with all the right stuff your family will love. Shredded coconut may be substituted for ground almonds.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 18 medium , Tart Crusts Frozen
  • 0 to taste , Jam or Jelly
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Almonds Ground
  • 1/3 cup(s) , Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) , Almond Flavoring
  • 1 large , Egg

Instructions:
Prepare pastry; roll 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4 inch rounds.
Press into medium size tart pans.
Or - Defrost frozen tart shells, and prick with fork.
Place a 1/2 teaspoon jam or jelly in each tart shell and bake in 450 F oven until shell are half baked -- about 5 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Combine ground almonds and powdered sugar.
Add almond flavoring to egg and beat well.
Work beaten egg into sugar mixture.
Place a tablespoon of filling into each tart shell.
Bake at 350 F 7 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned
