Gnocchi with Fontina Cheese Sauce
Submitted by: Jimmy
Fontana cheese has a nice creamy flavor. Gnocchi are potato dumplings that can be bought or made very easily.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/2 pound(s) , Fontina Cheese Grated
  • 1/2 cup(s) , Heavy Cream
  • 5 1/2 tablespoon(s) , Butter
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 pound(s) , Gnocchi Dumplings
  • 0 to taste , Sage Leaves

Instructions:
Place Fontina, cream, butter and Parmesan in a double boiler or
a bowl in a saucepan of simmering water. Heat, stirring occasionally, until
the cheeses have melted and the sauce is smooth and hot.

In the meantime start boiling water for the gnocchi, and when
the sauce is about halfway done, put in the gnocchi and cook about 5-8 minutes until soft but firm. Drain cooked gnocchi and
coat with a little oil.
Pour sauce over the gnocchi, garnish with sage leaves.
Serve immediately.
