Crab and Mushroom Chowder

 This is a delicious thic and creamy chowder. When I make this, I add more mushrooms and crab than in the original recipe, but it's personal preference. This is an easy recipe. Hope you enjoy.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup(s) , Fresh Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Celery Chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Scallions Chopped
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Butter
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) , Salt
  • 3 cup(s) , Milk
  • 1 cup(s) , Half and Half
  • 2 medium , Potatoes Peeled, Cubed and Cooked
  • 6 ounces , Jumbo Lump Crab Meat

Instructions:
In a 3-quart saucepan cook mushrooms, celery, and green onion in hot margarine or butter until vegetables are tender, stirring often.
Stir in flour and salt.
Add milk and half-and-half or light cream all at once.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture is thick and bubbly.
Stir in potatoes and crabmeat.
Heat through, stirring occasionally.
Ladle into soup bowls and garnish each serving with fresh dill, if desired.
