INGREDIENTS:
- 4 pound(s) , Mussels Debearded
- 2 pound(s) , Linguine
- 2 large , Garlic Cloves Minced
- 2 medium , Onions Sliced Thin
- 2 large , Lemons Juice of
- 2 pound(s) , Canned Italian Tomatoes
- 1 can(s) , Tomato Paste
- 2 cup(s) , Red Wine
- 1 tablespoon(s) , Oregano
- 2 teaspoon(s) , Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon(s) , Basil
- 0 to taste , Salt ans Pepper

| Instructions: |
Saute onion and garlic in oil (1 tsp.) In large kettle; when onion is golden and soft, add lemon juice, tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, red wine, salt and pepper. Simmer over low heat (15 minutes) with the pot covered and (15-20 minutes, without cover), until sauce thickens. Add Mussels to sauce, cover and cook over medium-high heat until Mussels open (about 5 minutes).
Cook linguine according to package instructions and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil to prevent sticking. Arrange linguine in a large platter, covered with cooked Mussels and tomato sauce. Serve immediately. |
