Corn and Crab Bisque

 Corn acts as the thickener in this creamy bisque

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Onion Chopped
  • 1/4 cup(s) , Butter
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) , Curry Powder
  • 4 cup(s) , Corn
  • 4 cup(s) , Milk
  • 1 cup(s) , Heavy Cream
  • 0 to taste , Salt and Pepper
  • 1 pound(s) , Crab Meat

Instructions:
Saute the onion in butter. Add flour and curry powder and cook for 2 minutes. Chop corn in food processor; add to onion mixture and cook 5 minutes. Add milk, cream, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Stir in Crab Meat. Serve hot, topped with crumbled bacon, if desired. Serves 10.
