INGREDIENTS:
- 3/4 pound(s) , ground lamb
- 3 tablespoon(s) , scallions chopped
- 1 pinch , ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) , ground cumin
- 1/2 cup(s) , plain nonfat yogurt
- 1 tablespoon(s) , fresh cilantro chopped
- 1 tablespoon(s) , fresh mint leaves chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) , garlic minced

| Instructions: |
n a bowl combine the lamb, scallion, cinnamon and cumin, and salt and pepper to taste, knead the mixture with your hands until it is combined well, and chill it, covered for 15 minutes. Form the lamb mixture into 4 patties. On the lightly oiled rack of a broiler pan broil the patties under the broiler for 5 minutes on each side.
Make the sauce while lamb is broiling. In a bowl whisk together the yogurt, coriander (or cilantro), mint, garlic and salt and pepper.
Divide the patties between 2 plates lined with a romaine leaf and serve them with the yogurt sauce and pita breadI |
