Crock-pot Coq Au Vin

 This is a classic French dish. Here it is made in the crockpot for ease. This is a meal the whole family will like.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 whole , Chickens Cut into Pieces
  • 12 small , Onions Chopped
  • 1/2 pound(s) , Mushrooms Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) , Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) , Thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) , Pepper
  • 1 cup(s) , Chicken Stock
  • 1 cup(s) , Dry Red Wine
  • 3 tablespoon(s) , Flour
  • 3 tablespoon(s) , Butter

Instructions:
Place onions in bottom of cooker, then add all other ingredients except flour and butter. Cook on low heat 8-10 hours or high heat 3-4 hours. To thicken sauce, remove 1/4 cup liquid from cooker. Melt butter in saucepan,
stir in flour and liquid. When blended, return to cooker.
