INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup(s) , Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) , Water
- 1 tablespoon(s) , Cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) , Fresh Ground Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) , Sugar
- 3 large , Garlic Cloves Crushed
- 2 pound(s) , Lean Flank Steak Cut across the Grain in Thin Strips
- 1/4 cup(s) , Oil
- 6 medium , Green Bell Pepper Cut in Strips
- 3 large , Tomatoes Cut into Wedges
- 2 medium , Onions Sliced

In bowl, blend soy sauce, water, cornstarch, pepper, sugar and garlic. Stir in meat. I a large wok or Dutch oven, heat oil. Add onions . Stir over medium high heat until barely crisp-tender. Remove with slotted spoon. Repeat procedure with green pepper pieces (3-5 minutes). Stir in meat and soy sauce mixture. Stir over medium high heat just until meat loses its red color, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, then simmer over low heat until hot and tender, about 3 minutes. Add onions. Serve over rice. |
