Citrus Barbecue Sauce
Submitted by: Jimmy
Citrus juice really adds a nice contrast with the spices. Anytime you can join contrasting flavors, it is great, it adds that depth to food. People will taste different things each time they take a bite

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 large , Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1 tablespoon(s) , Ground Red Chilies
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) , Ground Red Pepper
  • 1 medium , Ancho Chilie Seeded and Finely Minced
  • 1 tablespoon(s) , Vegetable Oil
  • 1 cup(s) , Orange Juice
  • 1/2 cup(s) , Lime Juice
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) , Fresh Cilantro Minced
  • 1 teaspoon(s) , Salt

Instructions:
Cook onion, ground red chiles, red pepper and Ancho chile in oil, stirring frequently, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to low. Simmer, uncovered, about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
