Thai Crab and Shrimp Soup

 This is a succulent seafood soup from Thailand. It is a great meal that is quick to make.

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 teaspoon(s) , Peanut Oil
  • 5 large , Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 3 medium , Shallots Minced
  • 3 cup(s) , Chicken Stock
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Fish Sauce
  • 1/4 pound(s) , Fresh Crabmeat
  • 1/4 pound(s) , Shrimp Shelled
  • 1 can(s) , Creamed Corn
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Black Peppercorns Cracked
  • 1 large , Egg Beaten
  • 2 tablespoon(s) , Cilantro Chopped

Instructions:
In a large saucepan, saute the garlic and shallots in the oil until they are light brown. Add the stock, fish sauce, crab, shrimp, corn, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, pour in the beaten egg, and stir to create egg strands. Boil for another minute, then ladle into soup bowls and top with a sprinkling of cilantro.
