Making gaucamole isn’t hard work. There are very few ingredients and it only takes roughly 10 minutes to prepare. The following is an homemade easy guacamole recipe that will be hard to stop eating once you start. This makes a great dip or compliments the perfect mexican dish. The best part is that it is healthy as well as tasty. I hope you enjoy!
1 large ripe avocado (peeled and pitted)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 cup salsa (not too chunky)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt (a dash or to taste)
chili powder (a dash or to taste)
In a medium to large bowl, mash the advocado with a fork until farily smooth.
Add in the lemon juice and stir throughly.
Stir in the 1/4 cup of salsa until completely mixed in.
Now add in the garlic poweder, salt, and chili powder and mix well. You don’t want clumps of powder in your guacamole.
If you are looking for something than just an ordinary sandwich to serve lunch for your family, may I suggest a turkey wrap? The nice thing about this turkey wrap recipe is that it makes for a healthier lunch. I hope you enjoy this deli style recipe!
1 pound of deli shaved turkey breast
1 bag of romaine lettuce (chopped)
1/3 bottle of low-fat ranch dressing (you can use regular ranch if you prefer)
1 tomato (diced)
6 burrito sized flour tortillas
In a large bowl, mix the lettuce, tomato, and ranch dressing.
Place 1/6th of the salad mixture on each tortilla and 1/6th of the shaved turkey breast. (Make sure you place the salad before the turkey)
Fold both ends of the tortilla and roll the tortillas up.
Cut the tortillas diagonally in the middle.
This will create 12 servings and will be a nice healthy lunch for you and your family and friends.
