Launched in October of 2005, CookingSpot was created to be the premier online culinary portal. Our goal is to provide the most useful resource for finding and gathering recipes on the web. With our experience in the online industry, we saw the need to create a site that provides answers for the online user when searching for recipes or culinary advice. As former members of other cooking & recipe sites, we felt that there needed to be a user-friendly site with useful resources for the average internet user. We believe CookingSpot fulfills this need.

CookingSpot wanted to offer our members the ability to learn valuable information to help them succeed in the kitchen. With that goal in mind we acquired the services of classically trained Chef Jimmy Spellings. Schooled at the Memphis Culinary Academy under renowned Chef Joseph Carey, Chef Spellings has gained a plethora of knowledge in the culinary arts. So whether it be answering questions from members or providing his advice on everyday meals. Chef Spellings gives CookingSpot a reliable source of culinary knowledge.
